Flowers:

tepals pink with a deeper pink midvein, 6-12 mm, lanceolate, acute


Leaves:

thick and flat, curved, and deciduous later in the year


Plant:

perennial; scape flattened and generally more of less wing margined. Traditionally bulbs were cooked and eaten or dried for future use by the Okanagan-Colville, Okanagan, Thompson, and Shuswap.


Habitat:

gravelly soils

Vancouver Island to south west Oregon, west Cascades, also in Olympic Mountains, Wenatchee Mountains, and Oregon Cascades
