Flowers:

perianth bright yellow, glabrous; involucre lobes greater than half as long as the tube, reflexed or spreading; perianth abruptly stipe-like at base; primary rays of umbels not branched or bracteate in middle; flower stem leafless near middle

leaf blades glabrous on both surfaces, and slightly tomentose on margins and midribs, mostly obovate in shape


Plant:

usually greater than 1 dm tall


Habitat:

rocky outcrops and sunny slopes
