Flowers:

petals yellow; bractlets of the involucel linear


Fruit:

16 to 28 mm long, greater than 4 mm wide; with thin wings, not corky thickened; short-hairy when young


Leaves:

ultimate leaf segments up to about 1 cm long by 1 to 3 mm wide


Plant:

perennial; acaulescent; 5 to 10 dm tall; stem and peduncle short-hairy.


Habitat:

open or wooded slopes in foothills


Distribution of species:

endemic to Chelan County Washington


Distribution of genus:

more or less 75 species: central and western North America
