Flowers:

corolla 6 to 10 mm, cylindric to urn-shaped, yellowish-green to pinkish


Fruit:

capsule 5 to 8 mm wide, many seeds per chamber


Leaves:

1.5 to 6 cm long, ovate-elliptic to elliptic-obovate; alternate; deciduous


Plant:

stems sprawling or erect, less than 4 meters tall; twigs often glandular-hairy


Habitat:

coniferous woods


Distribution of species:

Alaska to California, east to the Rocky Mountains
