Flowers:

corolla bilabiate, flowers without bractlets; calyx deeply cleft into 5 subequal lobes, lobes greater than the tube; pedicels 1 to 3, much greater than the very short stem


Leaves:


Plant:

parasitic on Sedum, Saxifragaceae, Asteraceae and other plants


Habitat:

lowland to middle elevations in the mountains


Distribution of species:

Vancouver Island and Southern British Columbia south to California, east to Florida and Newfoundland


Distribution of genus:

140 species: worldwide, especially in the Mediteranian
