Flowers:

corollas spreading and the verticillasters well separated; staminode densely bearded for most of its' length; bearded on the palate; pollen sacs generally 1.8 to 2.5 times as long as wide, often constricted at the proximal end


Leaves:

generally broadest near the base and often clasping, up to 2 cm wide, toothed


Plant:

perennial; 20 to 45 cm tall


Habitat:

mountain foothills and lowlands

eastern and central Washington
