Flowers:

inflorescence in helicoid cymes; pedicel and calyx lobes black-glandular; corolla 5 to 9 mm wide, more or less bell-shaped, cream to greenish or brownish white; stamens 8 to 10 mm exserted, hairy; style 6 to 10 mm exserted


Fruit:

6 to 8 mm, glandular and short rough-hairy


Leaves:

all cauline; 5 to 12 cm long, lanceolate to ovate, coarsely toothed to lobed


Plant:

0.5 to 2 meters tall; strigillose below the inflorescence


Habitat:

meadows, open slopes, and coniferous forest at middle elevations

Washington to California and Idaho
