Leaves: less than 3 cm, rigid, 4 sided; tip flattened, acute Plant: young branches pubescent; up to 50 meters tall. Bark used to make baskets, thatch the roofs of buildings, and cover canoes by the Thompson. Limbs and roots shredded, pounded, and used to make cord by the Hoh and Quileute. |
