Flowers:

racemes spike-like; petals deep pink to pinkish lavender, 5 to 20 mm, slightly notched; calyx 3.5 to 9 mm long, sparsely stellate; calyx lobes strongly fringed with simple to stellate 0.5 to 1 mm hairs; carpels reticulate-rugose


Leaves:

blades deeply palmately lobed, thick and fleshy; glabrous or subglabrous


Plant:

perennial; stems glabrous at base or sparsely hairy with simple to stellate appressed hairs; 20 to 150 cm tall

this variety of S. oregana is endemic to the Wenatchee Mountains, Chelan and Kittitas Counties
