Flowers:

terminal inflorescences; corolla 10 to 13 mm, blue; sepals 2 to 3 mm; style 6 to 10 mm; filaments 4 to 8 mm


Fruit:

5 to 6 mm, longer than wide, glandular-hairy


Leaves:

5 to 25 mm, alternate, elliptic to ovate, sessile


Plant:

rhizomed perennial; ascending, 10 to 15 cm tall; glandular hairy


Habitat:

forest openings and meadows at higher elevations in the mountains
